The Renault F1 Team today concluded its four-day test
session at the Spanish circuit of Jerez. The team
achieved some positive results with next year’s development items.
Testing for the first time the hybrid
car, Fernando Alonso drove throughout the entire session
covering a significant amount of mileage in good conditions. Jarno Trulli, in the R202, ran only on Thursday and Friday
morning. The Renault F1
Team made use of this
session in Jerez to try two young French drivers, Franck Montagny and Sebastien Bourdais.

F1 Team, commented:
"Overall
it was a useful test session. Fernando Alonso was able to complete the programme as planned, in the hybrid car, and
also doing some tyre work for Michelin. Both young French
drivers tested the R202. Franck Montagny’s test on Friday was hampered by bad weather conditions and we decided to
give him a second chance on Sunday afternoon. Sebastien Bourdais, who ran Saturday afternoon and Sunday
morning, completed a total of 68 laps. They both did very professional job.”
On Sunday.
Fastest overall was Webber for Jaguar, closely followed by Alonso in second. Bourdais was 3rd quickest, only a tenth away from Alonso’s time.

for the Renault boys who are still testing in Jerez, along with McLaren, Williams, Jaguar, and BAR. Fastest was Raikkonen for McLaren. For Renault, Alonso continued in the hybrid car, finishing 6th
quickest. Bourdais was 9th quickest.

The second day of a four-day test continued with some promising results
for the Renault F1 Team at Jerez in
Spain.
The test line-up for Renault was Fernando Alonso
in the hybrid car, who ran all day. Jarno Trulli in the R202 tested
only in the morning and the young French driver Franck Montagny took over Jarno’s car in the afternoon. Jarno was 5th fastest with 1:21.60
with Alonso
in 8th. Montagny
was 10th fastest. Fastest overall was Wurz in the McLaren with 1:20.86.
Mike Gascoyne, Technical Director of the Renault F1 Team, commented:
"Another constructive day for us. Fernando Alonso completed 200km in
the hybrid car although in the afternoon he had to stop with a minor engine
problem. Jarno completed
successfully his day programme, which involved suspension evaluation. In the
afternoon Franck Montagny
did some running in the R202 to get a feel for the car and he will continue testing tomorrow
morning.”
Sebastien Bourdais will be at the wheel
of the R202
whereas Fernando Alonso
will continue his test programme in the hybrid car.

The Renault F1 Team began today a four-day test section at
the Jerez de la Frontera circuit, Spain. The team will run two
cars: the R202 and the hybrid car. Along with official drivers, Jarno Trulli and Fernando Alonso, young French drivers, Franck Montagny and Sebastien Bourdais, will be testing. Fernando was fastest today with a time of
1:21.777. Jarno was 6th with 1:23.391.Also
present were Wurz and Raikkonen for McLaren, Ralf and Gene for Williams, and Pizzonia and Webber for Jaguar.
Mike Gascoyne, Technical Director of
the Renault F1 Team, summed up the day:
"A very productive day’s testing
with Fernando in the hybrid car. It was his first time
in the car and he was very happy with the feeling and handling of the new car.
He completed 63 laps with no problems. We were able to conduct our mechanical
evaluations and also do some tyre testing for Michelin. Jarno ran in the standard R202, focusing on development items for next
season."
Tomorrow testing will continue with Jarno in the R202 and Fernando in the hybrid car.

The Renault F1 Team today completed a productive three-day test
at the Barcelona circuit, Spain. With Fernando
Alonso driving last season’s car, R202, over the three
days, the team carried out a successful programme concentrating on the
suspension development and brakes system for
next year. Fernando completed 65 laps and was 11th quickest.
Fastest was Coulthard for McLaren.
During this test, the Renault F1 Team started testing with the young drivers. The first was the
Frenchman Romain Dumas who took the wheel last
Tuesday and shown an amazing capability of familiarisation with the F1 car. The
second young driver testing the R202 was the Portuguese Tiago
Monteiro who completed his test today running
over 58 laps.

The Renault F1 Team continued its winter test at the Barcelona circuit, Spain, with the R202. Today Fernando Alonso conducted development work on the brakes
system and did a useful tyre evaluation.
The French driver, Romain Dumas, after his first time at the wheel of
the F1 car yesterday, continued his familiarisation with the R202. In the afternoon, he passed the wheel
to the young Portuguese Tiago Monteiro. Tiago will be testing the car for the Renault F1 Team again tomorrow. At the end of their
day’s testing, the two young drivers declared themselves highly satisfied and enthusiastic
about the work that was done by the team.
Fastest on the day was Panis for Toyota. Fernando Alonso was 10th quickest, then Dumas and Monteiro.

The Renault F1 Team began a three-day test at the Barcelona circuit, Spain. Fernando Alonso completed 86 laps and was able to finish the schedule
for the day. In the early afternoon, the young French driver, Romain Dumas, took the wheel of the F1 car for the very first time,
to begin a test for the Renault F1 Team. Dumas will continue to test tomorrow morning.
Other teams present were Jaguar, Williams, McLaren, Toyota, and BAR. Fastest today
was Mark Webber for Jaguar. Fernando was 6th quickest.

"Today Fernando shook down last season’s chassis in preparation for the potential test
drivers and also continued working on the suspension development for next year.
Romain Dumas had his first contact with the R202 and he did a very professional job."
Jarno will also be in Barcelona this week, even though he is not driving. He is fulfilling a commitment
to meet the auction winner who bid to meet him in the Oxfam auction in the summer. The man, from America, is flying to Spain for the
occasion.
